“The value in art is that it can reach people where they are.” - Ethan Estess. Nowhere was that more present than seeing people interact with @ethan.estess.art.science ‘s latest piece, “Fore The Waves.” Swipe through to see some pals getting pitted in Ethan’s sculpture, and be sure to dig into episode 2 of our new podcast @wslpure | One Ocean (link in bio). I always learn so much chatting with Ethan and love his perspective on how art can communicate these important ocean issues. And thanks @outerknown / @outerknown_womens for supporting the pod! Photos: @zaksuhar @jtsuhar and me (for that epic candid of Ethan looking all model-like). 😆

It’s the little things. That can change someone’s trajectory and can stick with them forever. A high five, a pair of goggles, a lesson plan, a push into a wave, encouragement... all the little things add up, especially in the little fishing village of Lobitos, Peru. It’s been 3 years since we volunteered with @waves4dev so I shared some of the moments that stick with me today. Link in my bio if anyone cares to read :)
